Welcome to Top of the Mountain Vegetable Farm + Bakery
High up in the mountains of Walden, Vermont, sits Top of the Mountain Vegetable Farm owned by us, George & Colleen Peak.
Our journey began in 2008 when we purchased the land to start our own vegetable garden.
With our Hydroponic system, we grow fresh herbs, crisp lettuces, and an assortment of greens. In our 40 foot greenhouse, we also grow lots of fresh, yummy veggies!
Top of the Mountain Farm also grows carrots, beets, onions, string beans, summer and winter squash, and much more!
What do you do with all of those vegetables you may ask? We use our veggies to make our canned goods such as bread & butter pickles, our Walden Heat and mango salsas, zucchini relish, pickled beets, dilly beans, dill pickles, and so much more. We always have something cooking up here!
You can also find farm fresh eggs from our hardworking hens here at Top of the Mountain Farm! You may even see our Nigerian Dwarf goats, Elvy and Max who are spoiled rotten and always keeping us on our toes!
When George and I began this adventure, our mission became to grow and offer fresh, quality vegetables at an affordable price to our local community.
Since we are always looking for ways to bring more to our local customers, we have partnered up with local baker Danielle Foster to bring you delicious homemade pies, cookies, danishes, scones, and so much more!
We also have 45 Micron Poultry Shrink Bags which are BPA Free. We have various sizes to choose from. Click on the tab "Poultry Shrink Bags"to learn more!
